Since Father’s Day is coming up I decided to dedicate the next 2 Song of my Sundays to Dads! There are soooo many songs about dads and for dads, it’s crazy….in a good way! Hopefully there will be at least one song that reminds you of your dad, or any special male you’ve looked up to throughout the years. My dad isn’t around anymore, but both my stepfather and father-in-law are such amazing men and have done so much for me… I am forever grateful for their love and kindness.
There are also a TON of songs written from the point of view of a Dad and I really love them, so they’re included too! If you are a Dad, I’m sure you’ll relate and smile… or shed a tear! (Just warning you, because some of them are definite tear jerkers!)
Click the song titles if you want to read the lyrics!
Enjoy
First 15 Songs For Dad
-
Just the 2 of Us- Will Smith Such an adorable video and song! I love me some Will Smith!
-
Stealing Cinderella- Chuck Wicks Tear Jerker! Tear Jerker!
-
Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)- Rodney Atkins If my Dad would’ve been around when I started dating, this would’ve been him… exactly!
-

Drive- Alan Jackson Another one that reminds me of my Dad, I used to LOVE to drive the boat and his truck. (Shhh!)
-
Butterfly Kisses- Bob Carlise Such a beautiful song from a Dad to his baby girl.
-
I Loved Her First- Heartland Kinda creepy if you think about it too much, but it’s really just meant to be a super sweet song about dads giving away their daughters
-
Do I Make You Proud- Taylor Hicks I sure hope I make all my Dads proud!
-
Daddy- Beyonce Of course, almost every girl wants their husband and son to be just like their Daddy.

When hubbs and I first met it was definitely a lust at first sight kind of a moment. We were in a club, my first time… his 100th and he came up to dance with me. Long story short, we got real into it and I am still a little surprised nobody kicked us out. LOL I obviously hadn’t ever just made out with some guy at a club, but more surprisingly he hadn’t either (girl or guy)
At the time I was living with my mom, but had plans to move into my own place in about a month. Angat was sleeping on the floor of his cousin’s studio apartment– his parents had sent him up to central California, because he was acting like a crazy person. His best friend since kindergarten and his high school sweetheart starting dating and he has much too much pride to take something like that. If he would have been given the chance he would have beat the shit out of Kevin and his parents knew that, so they sent him away. Could have been worse though, when they thought his sister needed a change they sent her to India!! She’s been there 5 years!!!
SO we met that night and decided that the month until I moved up to SLO was too long to be apart, so we started staying in hotels. We had the best time ever, and to be honest, we were both a little bummed when we had to move into the apartment. Hotels are way cooler.
Around the time of the move was our 1 month anniversary. I know, super lame and little kiddish to celebrate, but to be honest, it was the first time in a long time that I kept the same guy for more then a weekend. (we’ll save those stories for another time!) I was not going to let the milestone pass without some kind of celebration.
Hubbs and his friends drank a lot of Hennessy back then… like a lot. They usually drank the regular kind and once they had gotten Privilege. So, for our 1 month I decided to get him the Hennessy XO. It is a little expensive for a bottle that will be gone by the end of the night, but I was the rich girl and he was the stay at home boyfriend back then, so it was alright.
I don’t know if anyone remembers Happy Bunny, but it is a little cartoon rabbit that is really mean to everyone. Four or five years ago I thought it was hilarious and I must have mentioned that to hubbs…. because he swears that is why he got me the present he did. A wood rabbit. With no function. First of all I have no idea how he turned Happy Bunny into Wooden Rabbit. Second, are you kidding me?
Of course, I pretended to love it… it wasn’t until probably 3 months later that I told him what a crappy gift it was. Kinda mean, I know, but I didn’t want him wasting money on a matching wood hamster or something.
And, actually he is much better now. For Christmas I got a diamond tennis bracelet!! Way so much cooler then the rabbit! Of course, now he is the rich guy and I am the stay at home mom.
Moral of the story ladies– don’t write a guy of for something trivial… especially if you can fix it!

I don’t even know where to start. I know I have been neglecting the blog super bad- and trust me I’m crazier for it- but I swear it isn’t my fault. It’s the hubbs. This dislocated elbow thing has completely thrown us of track.
He hasn’t been to work in a month and we have been spending pretty much 24/7 together. Now, before kids and all that we did something like this. Twice actually, we stayed in hotels for over a month just hanging out together. We both loved it back then because all we did was smoke, drink, have sex, and eat. No jobs, no worries… now things are a little different. No hotel means no maids and I think we’ve established that I am not one that likes to clean. As a joke (I think) hubbs told me he was going to bring me to marriage counseling for cleaning. LOL I have been being good though, we’ll see if it lasts.
We also have kids now, so I have to be responsible and make sure they stay alive and all that. Angat can still get as drunk as he wants, but someone has to be designated driver and parent! But I do feel bad for him… he can’t move his arm to do normal things like feed/bathe himself, so sports are pretty much out of the question. And he is a BIG sports guy. But he refuses to see how much better it has gotten in the week since they took off the cast and only sees that he can’t do a curl.
Plus, all he does is complain, be mean to me because I have an arm, stay up at night playing PS3, and drink with his dad. It is getting old fast. Lucky for him (and maybe surprisingly to you) I am a very empathic person… so I know he is only acting like this because he is worried about his arm. As soon as it really starts to get better I am sure he will too.
So, hopefully I can find more time to blog, I love it so much! Plus, I think I get kinda mean if I can’t let it out a little. HA The main problem is that all the weights are in the computer room now instead of toys, so the kids ca’n't go in. I’m moving either the computer or the weights… soon!

First of all, Happy Late Valentine’s Day!! I hope everyone had lots of fun and ate lots of chocolate.
I went to the casino with hubbs and another couple. We all lost but I had two lemon drops and that’s enough to make me not care. Also, he bought me an MP3 or 4 or 27 or something, which was very nice of him….. But, he also said- “You can use it when you clean” ha.ha.ha Nice try buddy!
The house is coming along great. We put in the wood floors and we should be switching in the new carpet soon. All the painting is done and I love (most) of it. And, we finished putting in the new sinks, lights, mirrors, and all that in the bathrooms.
Oh yea, I wanted to tell everyone about the All Posters affiliate thingy that I have up. I don’t recommend it for making money, but I do like it for the pictures. You can use any of their posters and not have to worry about stepping on anyones copyright. I use it for Squidoo more then over here, but it is still kinda cool, so I thought I would share.
Here is an example LOL

I can’t believe I almost forgot… my in laws were over here today, talking about Jasdeep and his first birthday. I said it was up to them if they wanted to throw a big party, like they did for Nayana, or not. I mean, it is there money, of course they should decide. Nayana’s birthday was crazy though- they rented a restaurant, had an open bar, a photographer, decorator, videographer, DJ and dance floor, and enough food to feed all of India. (These are the same people that didn’t come to my wedding, by the way.) SO, anyway, after I said I didn’t care and he wouldn’t remember it, my mother in law says “exactly, I think we should throw Nayana another big party instead.” Whoa… I said I didn’t care if they gave him a huge party, not that she should have another! I don’t want my mother in law to favor Nayana ALL the time SO much. It is starting to get annoying. She only wants to watch Nayana or bring her shopping or out to eat. I get that Nayana is cool and fun and … actually talks, but she could still try and spend a little time with Deepu. He is her only grandson! Or maybe I am just way to sensitive LOL
Hope everyone has a great week!!

OK, so we are in the process of packing, moving, unpacking, remodeling, and living… and I am actually not loosing it too bad. Right now I am at the old place getting the last of the stuff. Well, actually the boys are getting the stuff and I am supposed to be paying the bills. hehe We have almost everything over at the new place, but none of it is put away.
Well, ok, here is what happened… for Christmas we went to see my family in Santa Maria and then came back to celebrate here. At this point we still weren’t sure when the house was going to be ready, so Angat and his family decided to plan a trip to Vegas for New Years. We dropped Nayana off with my mom, but brought Jasdeep because it was going to be 4 days. Vegas was fun… I met my new best friend China (I’ll bet you can guess her line of work), I was invited by some guy to go smoke weed outside the Sahara and offered $5000 by another to do, well I didn’t ask for any details. Then the stupid Vikings lost and I got to see my husband cry over something lamer then me with country songs. Overall, crazy weekend!
As soon as we got back from Vegas we were met by my mom and Nayana and our new house! We immediately started moving stuff in and making plans to change things. I totally adore the place and the first night we were there Nayana said “I love my new house” So cute!! I took before pictures and as soon as we get the Internet over there I will post them up. We already got a new water heater, a new kitchen sink and faucet thingy, and a new stove.
Hopefully we will get all hooked up soon because I really miss you guys!! It is getting serious…

g December 20th, but we decided to take some time to repaint everything… previous owners choose yucky colors! It is 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 3 stories, and perfect! (Hubbs has been assigned all vacuuming duties for the duration of our lives at this house!!) We are going to be really super busy because it is also the holidays, so who knows how much time I will have for the Internet… but just stick with me, I promise I’ll be up and kicking again by New Years!!
What a great early Christmas present!! I will put some before and after pictures up soon, well, after the 20th!

My daughter is staying with my mom until Thanksgiving…. and while I miss the hell out of her, I can’t help but enjoy only having one kid. It is soooo easy with just my (almost) 8 month old…. well compared to when I have an 8 month old and a 27 month old! Anyway, we decided to take advantage of the extra freedom and go to (MY 1st!!!!) football game. I had such an incredible time, I decided to share!
Forgive the pictures, I don’t drink often! LOL

Qualcomm Stadium from our Tailgating spot

Tailgating with Hubbs and my Father in law

Inside the Stadium. I couldn’t believe how bright it was… I thought it was daytime!

Can’t forget about my Vikings!! They beat the HELL outta the Jags!

Apparently Hubby doesn’t know how to take a picture and smile…at least not drunk! We have three different shots, all of which have him making this same stupid face! LOL

Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL?!?!

Hubbs thought this guy was the Charger’s mascot ROTFLMAO Deepu just thought he was cool!

Halftime!! I couldn’t believe Jasdeep was still going strong, but he was loving it.

I guess more then his Dad!! hehehe, what a sore loser
Well, I had an amazing time, and I can’t wait until next year… we are definitely going again! Hopefully the Chargers will play the Vikings, and Nayana HAS to come… I know she will LOVE it just like her brother.
