About this Blog
Here’s the skinny–
My name is Moonstruck Mommy, aka Deidre, and I am a stay at home mom to 2 energetic kids. My bossy daughter is 2, going on 13 and my smiley fatso will be 1 in April.

My husband works over an hour away and recently went back to school, so he is gone more then he is home (home & awake anyway) and I realized I was starting to loose it a little! I decided that rather then go insane in the privacy of my own home I would do it here… slowly… for all of you to see! Plus, I need something more to keep me too busy to clean and do laundry!!

Just a few things before you start reading:
- Be warned- I am very sarcastic– don’t be offended! Well, you can be, but I won’t care.
- This is my first blog and it doesn’t really have a theme/topic… deal with it! I’m trying to learn as much as I can before I lock myself into something
Everything I have to say is interesting anyway! -
I love love love meeting new people and reading new blogs, so check out all my social network links here and add me!

Leave me comments!! How else will I know A. if you were here and 2. If you agree/like my post or not.

Just to say I was here & I like your posts!
–> And being first!
Hi~came to visit from your cafe mom link.
Hi Ms. D,
I’ve been following your Prop 8 “discussions” with your two “friends” – boy, can you argue! I’ll bet you made life interesting for your parents, and equally so now for your husband! (kidding)
Just wanted to take a minute to tell you how impressed I am that you are a stay-at-home-mom. It’s one hell of a hard thing, (for you and your husband), especially these days, but it is the best gift you’ll ever give your kids. Hang in there.
Best regards,
VaGent
Thanks for the comments. You are right about the arguing thing…. I think my husband is probably thrilled I’m off his back! LOL And being a stay at home mommy is the best/most challenging thing I have ever done. My babies mean everything to me though, so I’ll go crazy for em!! Have a great night!!!
Deidre
Top of the day to you, Deidre! Hope your day unfolds as you would like. Just checking in and catching up on your words of wisdom, etc.
Enjoy reading your interesting blog. Have a good one.
Al
D…I absolutely love the way you describe your trip to the looney bin, and your blog. You have a really cool writing gift. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks! My sister is an amazing writer and I’ve always paled in comparison to her, so it’s nice to get a compliment! Sad little note… Trish (my sister) was the writer, but I was always really good at math. I mean really good… I ditched 3 days a week of Pre-Calc and still got an A (I swear all this tooting of my own horn is for the story) So I think I am pretty cool and a super math genius and then I marry and Indian!! This guy is ridiculous!! He can’t even speak English (he was born in America!!!) but the math he can do is crazy. I am totally jealous, just don’t tell him!
Deidre,
I like the fact that you’re honest about your feelings.
As a husband and father, I also appreciate that you seem to understand that your husband is not going to school, working and all that he does for just himself alone.
If he is like me, his satisfaction comes from doing the best he can for his family.
That being said, though he may not be “home utility guy” you may want him to be, you seem to respect him enough to recognize his efforts in behalf of the family and willing to work with his insufficiencies when he doesn’t meet your expectations.
Bravo, and I will keep an eye on your refreshing blog!

Just checking in and catching up on any new posts you may have created. Glad the Minnesota Vikings played as well as they did on Sunday in their victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and thought of you since you’ve been a loyal fan of theirs. Hope all is well. Hope you guys have a great week ahead.
