the mind of a moonstruck mommy

I went to Old Navy this morning, to take advantage of the $1 Flip Flop Sale.  I love flip flops… even if they make me trip at least once a week.  When I got there (with Jasdeep) I saw that I couldn’t bring the stroller because of the crowd. So, I picked up the fat kid and went into the store. What did I see when I got in there? Almost a million (no exaggeration!) people, some in line, some walking around… all with flip flops.  I asked the people towards the front of the line how long they had been waiting and they said over an hour! There was noooo way I was holding Jasdeep for that long. Even if my arms were strong enough, he wouldn’t have lasted. He is a very active little 1 year old. So, I brought him back to the car and we headed home…. flip flopless.

When I finally reached home  I got yelled at by hubbs for… I still don’t actually know what.  If he wakes up grumpy (which is most of the time) watch out, cause he’s on a mission to ruin everyone’s day. Like I wasn’t already bummed enough about my flip flops!! Finally I just kicked him and Jasdeep over to his parents house so I could clean in peace.

By the time I finished cleaning, the game was about to start.  Maybe a good game and a Nugget win would make things better right?… Wrong! Not only did I not get to BOO stinky Kobe because I was with my Laker Lover friend, but then he won! Blah!

And, of course, what better way to end my day then by watching hubbs play PS3?
