We found out today that hubbs can go back to work tomorrow.  On the one hand, I am happy to have  him out of my hair. But, I know how much the kids are going to miss having him around all the time.  Also, his elbow is doing MUCH better. He still can’t move it all the way, but there is no pain and he can lift the kids again!  Thank goodness too, because his pity parties can be fierce!

I am on a basketball high right now, because the Celtics won!! So I decided to share some of my favorite basketball quotes. Enjoy! :D

Michael Jordan

  • Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.
  • I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Ray Allen

Boston Celtics- Ray Allen

  • I’m always ready to step up and take that shot! (GO Ray!)
  • The teams that do the best job of putting personal agendas aside are the successful teams. It’s not easy. That’s why it’s hard being a good teammate, but everyone has that choice.
  • Everything I know now . . . the pitfalls, the highs and lows, everything . . . it taught me and made stronger.

Shaquille O’Neal

Phoenix Suns

  • I don’t listen to people who can’t do stuff that I do.
  • I’m tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok.

Charles Barkley

  • I don’t hate anyone, at least not for more than 48 minutes, barring overtime.
  • Kids are great. That’s one of the best things about our business, all the kids you get to meet. It’s a shame they have to grow up to be regular people and come to the games and call you names.
  • These are my new shoes. They’re good shoes. They won’t make you rich like me, they won’t make you rebound like me, they definitely won’t make you handsome like me. They’ll only make you have shoes like me. That’s it.
  • I think that the team that wins game five will win the series. Unless we lose game five. (Go Celtics!!)

Hi Deidre!

AWESOME post! Basketball and encouraging/positive quotes are a good thing (smile). Happy to hear “hubbs” is up and ready to go again–as with anything else there’s always a plus and minus, but it’s good to hear he has made a full recovery. Have a wonderful weekend.
